Hi, I’m Sonja. I am a certified mindfulness and meditation instructor.

I was trained by Theravada Buddhist Monks to teach meditation and guide individual and group classes. I offer a unique, simple, psychology based approach to meditation that has proven to be effective in helping people reduce stress and increase mental wellbeing.

My Formal Training

My formal education is BA in Psychology and my meditation training has been primarily in the Theravada Buddhist tradition. I am honored to be trained and mentored by LP John Paramai and Ping Ping Worakate Thangsurbkul.

I received my Mindfulness, and Meditation Instructor Certification from the World Peace Initiative in Bangkok, Thailand (Certified in 2018). My coaching skills were developed during a 1-year program I completed in 2014, in The Netherlands. Before I became a coach and a meditation instructor I worked as a school psychologist in Serbia where I got by BA in Psychology.
At the moment I am teaching meditation, mostly online, and completing a TRE (Tension, Stress and Trauma Release) practitioner certification program- Module 1 in Koh Phangan, Thailand (2019), and Module 2 in London (2019).

My Mission

At the core of what I teach, and why I teach, is a strong belief that feeling well and being well comes from a “place” that lies within us. We can visit it on demand regardless of our current external circumstances.

As a practitioner and as a teacher, I’m committed, in supporting people to find that place of inner wellbeing and help them make it their spiritual home.

My motto is: “You don’t need to have a perfect life to feel perfectly peaceful.”
